    Turbo Trainer

    in General Discussions

I know I've asked a couple of individuals about this but thought I'd put this on here. I'm after a trainer (ASAP) but I've never used one or even seen one in action. I have no idea how to set them up so I'm a real beginner on them. The only thing I do know is it needs to connect to computer (probably Zwift - purely because that's the only one I've heard off lol) Finally it needs to be cheap (I'm only a poor Trucker driver lol) Any suggestions

Hi ya Ray I'm not an expert it them but I have a Trax vortex only used it a few times with Zwift but it works seems to work well (I'm new to Zwift as well) not the most expensive on the market. Like I say I've only just started to used it but it was easy to set up and along with Zwift etc. So far so good.

    Hi Ray,

i haven’t got a turbo myself as I prefer to get out but after last years snow I’m looking at it.

i‘d got it down to a Tacx one which can connect to Zwift but I’m no expert I’m afraid either.

wahoo kicker seems very popular but I haven’t looked closely at that as yet.

    Nick.

I think I'm looking more towards the ones where the rear wheel is removed. Must admit it's a bit of a mind field to be honest lol

To be honest I would go that way if I had my time again it was the cost that put me off and at the time I didn't know how good they were.

I have a wahoo kickr snap and it’s amazing, use it with Zwift and it automatically dials in the resistance 👍🏻
